Spring Sheet Music
Click here to access spring sheet music & scores on Google Drive. To get your sheet music:
-open the folder "Joplin - Bethena"
-click on the part with your instrument and name
-click the icons for "Print" or "Download" at the top of the screen next to the word "Open"
-repeat with the remaining 2 composer folders (Mussorgsky & Stuart)
The scores folder contains scores to all the songs we're working on. Feel free to consult them for any reason, including questions about your part/other people's parts, or simply wanting to follow along with all the parts while listening.
Spring Listening Files
Excellent recordings of all 3 songs can be found on Spotify (if you've never used Spotify, it's a great way to legally listen to almost anything for free). If you already have the Spotify app on your computer, you can access the playlist by clicking here. If you are new to Spotify or would prefer to use the online player, click here. If new to Spotify, creating an account is simple and hassle-free. Once you click on the link, you have the option of signing up with your Facebook account (the easiest option if you have one - also, in my experience Spotify never posts anything to Facebook or interacts with it in any way), or you can sign up with your email address (I've never gotten any spam email from Spotify). Once you access the playlist, click "Follow" right next to the green Play button. Now in the future you can easily find the playlist by clicking "Your Music" on the lefthand side of the screen and "Playlists" at the top. As always, let me know if you have any questions.
I've posted 2 versions of Bethena - one the original piano and one an arrangement for brass (different from our arrangement). Our version of Pictures at an Exhibition has some cuts from the original version in the 3 longs movements (numbers 2, 4 & 5 on the Spotify playlist) in case you're following along with your sheet music. Happy listening!
